Prep Tips
- Yield – This recipe makes about 40 cookies. You may end up with more or less depending on the size of your cookie dough portions.
- Storage – You can keep your cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. The cookies can also be frozen for up to 2-3 months in a large freezer bag.
- Chilling the Dough – In this recipe you will notice that it calls for chilling the dough for an hour before portioning and baking. Chilling the dough helps keep the cookies from spreading out too much during baking, resulting in perfectly thick and chewy cookies.
- Variations – If you can’t find Christmas M&Ms, you can buy a bag of regular M&Ms and separate the red and green candies for this recipe.
