Bunny Paw Cookies Recipe

Our Bunny Paw Cookies use a simple sugar cookie base that’s fluffy and sweet to make cute bunny paws with vanilla-flavored candy melt paw pads to make a charming, cute confection that is irresistible in both taste and appearance.

They are fun and whimsical while being super simple to whip up – you can even skip our homemade cookie dough and make these with pre-made cookie dough if you’re pressed for time!

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 bag of bright pink candy melts

Instructions

To Prep: Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

  1. Using a standing mixer, cream together the butter, powdered sugar, vanilla and egg together until creamy and well combined.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cream of tartar and baking soda.
  3. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the bowl of wet ingredients until the dough starts to come together.
  4. Use a tablespoon to portion out a scoop of dough and roll into a ball.
  5. Use a teaspoon to portion out three smaller balls of dough.
  6. Place the large dough ball onto the cookie sheet with 3 small dough balls and lightly push down so that when it bakes they bake into each other in the shape of a paw print.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 8-12 minutes, or until the cookies just start to turn golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven. While cookies are still warm, gently press one pink candy melt (with the pointy side facing down) into each of the “toes” and one in the middle of the paw.
  9. Once the cookies are done baking, place the large candy melt into the center of the cookie and then the little candy melts into the toes of the cookie

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 bag of bright pink candy melts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a stand mixer, beat together the butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and egg until smooth and creamy.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cream of tartar, and baking soda.
