Chocolate Blueberry Clusters
What’s inside: a delightful twist on chocolate-covered strawberries, these Blueberry Pistachio Clusters are a cookie-sized dessert consisting of chocolate-covered blueberries sprinkled with crushed pistachios. They make a great addition to party platters, grazing boards, lunch boxes – or my favorite, a healthy late night snack.

Chocolate-Covered Blueberries Recipe
A year ago, I shared my Blueberry Chocolate Clusters over on my main website – it was one of my favorite go-to bedtime snacks almost all summer!
This year, I thought I’d give that recipe a little twist with the addition of rich, crunchy pistachios. It adds the perfect contrast – silky dark chocolate, juicy blueberries and crunchy pistachios – each ingredient holding their own and adding not just delicious flavor and texture, but also notable health benefits!
And of course, this is a super easy recipe to make with the kids. While the chocolate does start to harden and firm up quickly after adding the blueberries (so you’ll have to help kids stay focused during that step), every step is straight-forward, easy to do and safe (no stoves or sharp knives).
If your kids don’t like pistachios, they can swap them out for another nut or replace them with sprinkles or crushed cookies.
These chocolate-covered blueberry clusters can be stored in the fridge up to a week, preferably with a piece of paper towel on top to absorb any moisture that the blueberries let out, replacing the paper towel if it appears damp. (They can also be frozen for up to 3 months.)

How to Make Blueberry Clusters
To Prep: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Set aside.
- Place the dark chocolate in a large microwave-safe bowl and melt in 30-second bursts, stirring well in between each reheating.
- Once the chocolate is melted, stir in the blueberries until fully coated.
- Set 1/4 cup clusters of the chocolate-coated blueberries onto the lined baking sheet.
- Immediately sprinkle each chocolate-coated blueberry cluster with a teaspoon of crushed pistachios.
- Allow the chocolate to set completely before storing in an airtight container.

Prep Tips
- Dry the blueberries thoroughly before coating so the chocolate clings smoothly and does not seize or slide off. (Once you get water in chocolate, there is no recovering the chocolate.)
- Use slightly cooled melted chocolate so it thickens just enough to coat.
- Work in small batches when stirring blueberries into chocolate to prevent crushing and keep clusters intact.
- Add a pinch of flaky sea salt over the clusters right after sprinkling pistachios to sharpen the sweetness and deepen flavor.
- Let clusters set in the fridge for a faster finish, then store in a single layer to preserve their crisp shell and glossy surface.
- While you don’t need to temper the chocolate for this recipe, if you want a pronounced snap on the chocolate you can. (Here’s a guide on how to temper chocolate.)
