Baby Shower Popcorn
This unicorn popcorn is an awesome afterschool snack – but it also doubles as the perfect popcorn for a Trolls movie night – it looks just like something Princess Poppy would eat!

Blue and Pink Popcorn Recipe
From unicorn cupcakes to unicorn fluff dip (and unicorn sugar cookie bars, and surprise inside unicorn bread) – and even a healthy unicorn frappuccino recipe, we have been whipping up just about every unicorn snack option this past year. The world has gone unicorn crazy and my 6 year old daughter is more than happy to join in the trend!
We used cotton candy-flavored candy melts for a kid-centric flavor. The crunchy popcorn and sprinkles work great with the smooth candy melts for a fun movie night snack.
You can also use this blue and pink popcorn recipe for a baby shower popcorn or a Trolls-themed party or movie night.
We actually made this unicorn popcorn recipe for my daughter’s class bake sale and it was such a hit! The teacher even texted me that this and our cookies and cream popcorn were the first things to sell out – so you know the kids will go crazy for it.
This recipe is super easy for kids to make with a bit of help (when it comes to the air popper and using the microwave). Start making it about an hour before you want to enjoy it – or you can always put it in a sealed ziplock bag and enjoy it a couple of days later.

Blue and Pink Popcorn
Ingredients
- 6 cups popped popcorn
- Pink food spray*
- 1/2 cup pink candy melts (we used cotton candy flavored melts)
- 1/2 cup blue candy melts
- 1-2 teaspoons coconut oil or shortening
- Pink and blue sprinkles
Instructions
- Pop the popcorn with an air popper. (Or use plain bagged popcorn for ease - no butter popcorn.)
- Lay the popcorn on two cookie sheets and spray lightly with the pink food spray. Turn over and coat the other side. Let dry as you prep the candy melts.
- Place the candy melts each in a small microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 25 seconds, stir, and reheat as needed. Add in 1/2 teaspoon or more of coconut oil to make the candy melts more loose and easily drizzled.
- Drizzle half of the candy melts over the popcorn, add sprinkles, let dry. Reheat the candy melts and toss the popcorn to coat the other side with the second drizzle.
- Let dry completely before serving or packaging.
