These rainbow decorated air fryer donuts are SO easy to make with our “secret” shortcut. They’re cute and colorful, and just right for a St. Patrick’s Day celebration or a kids birthday party. (Or any event with a rainbow theme!)

Rainbow Air Fryer Donuts Ingredients & Supply List

  • 1 can Pillsbury Grands Original Flaky Layers Biscuits
  • 2 cups powder sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups shredded coconut
  • 1 box Fruity Pebbles cereal, separated by colors
  • 1 bag gold cake sequin sprinkles

How to Make Easy Air Fryer Donuts

Remove biscuits from can (do not flatten) and use a 1-inch circle biscuit cutter to cut the holes out of the center of each biscuit.

Air fry the doughnuts at 350°F for 5 minutes. You’ll likely need to do this in batches of about 3 donuts.

How to make donuts in the air fryer

While donuts cook, add powdered sugar, milk and vanilla to a medium mixing bowl and whisk until smooth.

Dip each cooked doughnut into the icing to coat the top.

Lightly shake the doughnut to get rid of excess frosting and place on a cookie sheet, frosting side up.

How to Make Rainbow Donuts

Either beforehand or while your donuts are cooking in the air fryer, separate Fruity Pebbles cereal into different bowls for each color.

While frosting is still wet, sprinkle shredded coconut onto the bottom half of the donut.

Starting with your red Fruity Pebbles, place a layer of the red along the top of the donut.

Repeat steps with the orange, yellow, green blue and purple Fruity Pebbles until you have a complete rainbow.

Place a few gold sequin sprinkles onto the space where the rainbow meets the shredded coconut to create the ‘pot of gold’ effect.
