White Chocolate OREO Snowmen
Inside: These adorable white chocolate covered Oreo Snowmen are a simple holiday treat that kids of all ages can make!
I originally planned to make these cute snowmen as a special lunch box treat for my daughter. However, all of my daycare kids migrated to the kitchen to see what I was up to, so I had them put on aprons and participate.
Boy did they have a blast!
White Chocolate Oreo Snowmen
This is a really quick and easy kitchen activity that takes very little time to set-up, and you only need a few supplies.
As much as I love actually baking with the kids, I enjoy making simple, no-bake treats like this with the kids because we can just focus on the process and connecting, rather than worrying if we remembered to add the baking powder and the baking soda, or worrying about monitoring the oven while the kids run off to the far corners of the house.
These would be especially sweet for a Frozen or winter-themed party or as a classroom treat.
Oreo Snowmen Ingredients
- 12 OREOs
- 1 cup white chocolate melting wafers or candy melts
- 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
- 12 orange chocolate-covered candies
TIP: if you have White Fudge-Covered OREOs available where you are, that can be an easy swap that keeps making these treats with kids a little less messy! You’ll still need about 1/4 cup of candy melts to attach the facial features.

How to Make Chocolate Dipped OREO Snowmen
Place the candy melts in a small microwave-safe bowl and heat for 25 seconds, stir well, and repeat as necessary.
Place one OREO in the bowl and flip with a fork. Let the extra candy drip off the OREO and then set on a sheet of parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Repeat with all OREOs, completely covering each one with white chocolate or candy melts.
Carefully start placing the mini chocolate chip “eyes” on all of the OREOs, as shown.
Follow up with the orange noses and then the chocolate chip mouths.
