Instructions
To Prep: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Using a standing mixer, beat the eggs on medium to high speed until foamy.
Mix in the flour, Oreo crumbs, brown sugar, granulated sugar and vanilla extract, until combined. Then mix in the butter.
Fold in the white chocolate chips with a spatula.
Pour the batter into the pie shell and push the quartered Oreo cookies halfway into the chocolate mixture. Bake for 60 minutes, until the top of the pie looks brown and crispy.
Allow to cool to room temperature, then move to the fridge until chilled.
To Make The Chocolate Ganache
Add chocolate chips to a heat-safe bowl.
Heat the heavy whipping cream in a small saucepan on the stovetop, until it is almost boiling. Pour the hot cream on top of the chocolate chips and allow to stand for 2 minutes, then whisk until smooth.
Pour the ganache on top of the chilled pie and allow to harden.
To Make The Oreo Whipped Cream
Using a stand mixer or electric mixer, beat the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar and Oreo crumbs until stiff peaks form.
Scoop the whipped cream into a piping bag with large star tip and pipe dollops of the whipped cream around the edge of the pie.
Prep Tips
- Timing – This recipe does take a little bit of planning because you’ll need to allow for each layer to cool and set. You can speed up the process by chilling the pie in the fridge to help the layers set faster. However, this also makes it a great recipe to prepare a day ahead of time because it keeps well in the fridge!
- Chocolate Chips – We used semi-sweet chocolate chips for the ganache, but you could alternatively use chocolate chips or dark chocolate chips if that’s what you have on hand.
- Storage – Keep the pie and any leftovers refrigerated for up to 3-5 days.
- Serving – You may want to let it warm up slightly before cutting and serving because the ganache layer is very thick. Holding your knife under hot water for about 30 seconds is helpful too.
